More and more people are starting to adopt downloading digital books for a greener and more portable reading experience. Sony Readers are one of the leading electronics for reading digital books, periodicals and documents. They use E-Ink screen technology for a paper-like display that’s viewable in direct sunlight, which makes them great for vacations. They require no power to maintain a static image, so you can read the same page for hours without sucking any battery life. They’re convenient with Sony’s iTunes-like Sony Connect e-store, and can display PDFs, ePubs, personal documents, and more. Hundreds of thousands of free public domain books are available from Google Books, and libraries are also beginning to carry digital copies of books.
Sounds great, right? Why carry a heavy book around when you can slip a Sony Reader with 300 books right in your pocket? But with three different types available from P.C. Richard & Son, which one is the best for you? We’re breaking down each version for you so you know exactly which one will suit your needs.

May is a great month to invest some time into spring cleaning. Your refrigerator, with its expired condiments, corner grime and dusty condenser coils, should be one of your first candidates for cleaning. Here are some step-by-step instructions on making your fridge look and perform like new, and tips on how to keep it that way year round.
You’ll need to block out anywhere from 30 minutes to an hour and a half of your day in order to really clean out your appliance. Scrubbing down your fridge right before you go to the grocery store is the perfect time, as it will have the least amount of contents in it. Because your refrigerator will be open while you are cleaning, you’ll want to power it down and conserve energy. Loosen the bulb in your fridge until it goes out. Then, set the temperature dial to “off” and unplug it.

Who doesn’t like a good glass of wine with dinner on occasion? Wine has been shown to be high in antioxidants and have great health benefits for your heart. It can also improve with age, but can quickly deteriorate and become sour in inadequate conditions. Therefore, storage is very important when keeping wine for long-term aging. Toni On! New York spent some time in one of our stores to take a look at some of the many wine coolers we sell. Take a look at what they saw after the jump, and check out the great online wine resources they included!

The swanky new Nintendo Wii in black is now available for pre-order! If you place your order this weekend, the console will be shipped to you on Monday. This is a great item for those who aim to color-coordinate with their other media devices, don’t already have a coveted Wii console, or simply like the way it looks better. Wii controllers and nunchucks in black have already been on the market, so don’t worry about matching accessories!

We announced earlier this week that we would be giving 2 pairs of tickets to Monday’s Rob Halford presentation at the P.C. Richard & Son Theater. All entrants had to do was answer a trivia question about Judas Priest’s British Steel album. All who entered answered correctly!
