Believe it or not, today marks the first official day of summer! Considering the warm weather we’ve been having in the northeast, one would think that the summer season started months ago. We’ve already had plenty of air conditioner, barbecue and general posts on summer themes, so maybe it’s time to look back and see what we’ve done.
We have you set as far as things to do this summer goes.

We held a contest recently where parents and their kids ages 7-14 needed to record a video about why they love the Yankees and P.C. Richard & Son. The winner was randomly drawn from the submissions and received a once-in-a-lifetime trip to the Yankees dugout and 4 tickets to the game. The lucky winner was former Little League Yankee, PSP 3000 lover, and 7 year old Enzo Cupani. Here was his video submission:

When you’re on the go and need to look up your account, product information, stock at a particular store, or the current price of an item, check out our newly-launched mobile site! To access this new mobile-enabled site, visit www.pcrichard.com on your mobile device and you will be automatically redirected. This has just been launched today and our internal web team has worked very hard on it.
“It was an ongoing project on-and-off for about two months,” said our programmer, Steve. “My favorite feature is the in-store inventory lookup, which is currently unique to the mobile site and not on our full site right now.” When I asked him about his goals when creating the mobile site, he said, “I tried to keep the same functionality and really parallel the regular site. It’s a different perspective of the website you’re used to seeing, just on a smaller resolution.”

Toni Senecal from Toni On! New York stopped by one of our P.C. Richard & Son showrooms to check out some of the BBQ grills we have available and learn a fantastic recipe from our own Pat Dehner. He explained that our gas grills range from $99 to $8,000 for your absolute dream grill, and Toni was shocked to hear that you can cook anything on a Weber grill that you’d normally cook in your oven! Yes, we have done demonstrations where chocolate chip cookies were made on one of these fine grills.
Pat didn’t make chocolate chip cookies with Toni this time, but made a delicious modified version of peaches and cream. Check out the video and recipe after the jump:
