America’s first live 3D hockey game to be broadcasted on iO

Hockey fans that own a 3D TV will be able to watch the Rangers vs. Islanders game at Madison Square Garden live on iO channel 1300 in full 3D. In order to experience the 3D broadcast, you’ll need an HD Scientific Atlantic cable box from Cablevision and a high-quality HDMI 1.3 or 1.4 cable. Don’t forget 3D glasses for each viewer, too!

This marks the beginning of 3D broadcasting, and we’re excited to see how it will evolve. How do you think 3D TV is going to impact the way shows are shot, if at all? Let us know in the comments.
