The P.C. Richard & Son Theater has seen its fair share of private concerts from talented artists like Alicia Keys, Adam Lambert, Daughtry, Weezer, The Script, Puddle of Mudd, Phoenix and more. It gives fans the rare chance to see a performer up close and personal, and sometimes the artists perform covers of other songs that you won’t find anywhere else. Its been all over the Adam Lambert fansites, entertainment blogs, and social networks: Former American Idol contestant Adam Lambert performed at the P.C. Richard & Son Theater in TriBeCa and put on an amazing performance on February 15, 2010. What made the performance partciularly newsworthy, however, was a fan on her phone.
In the middle of the chorus of his single Whataya Want From Me?, Lambert began waving his hand and looked directly at a girl in the audience, saying, “Wait, wait… can you get off your phone? You’re yelling into it. Wait, sorry; we’re gonna start over. Sorry guys!” This was met by a roar of applause in the audience as he continued, “‘Dominoes, we deliver!’ This isn’t TV, honey, it’s a live show.” He then proceeded to begin the song over again.
