Tri-Color Pasta Salad: A Simple Side Dish for Summer Cookouts

Hosting a cookout and not sure what to make for a side? This delicious tri-color pasta salad is an easy-to-make recipe, so you can spend more time outside with family and friends instead of in the kitchen. It’s the perfect side to complement food off the grill, and your guests will be going back for seconds! Check it out:

Preparation time: 30 minutes 

Ingredients

  • 1 box of tri-color pasta 
  • 1 can of black olives, halved 
  • 2 cups of cherry tomatoes, halved  
  • 1 can of quartered artichoke hearts 
  • 1 cup of shredded Parmesan (or mozzarella) 
  • 2 tbsp of olive oil  
  • 1 tbsp of parsley flakes 
  • Sea salt
  • Pepper 

Directions

Follow the directions on your box of pasta and boil the full amount in a cooking pot on your range. In a large bowl combine the olives, cherry tomatoes, artichoke hearts, cheese, parsley flakes, olive oil, salt, and pepper. Once the pasta is finished boiling, drain the water and pour the pasta into the bowl. Mix the contents together thoroughly. Let it chill in your refrigerator for an hour and serve cold. Enjoy!
