So you just got a new iPod or MP3 Player. Awesome! Congrats on this improvement to your life. In order to get the most out of this investment, you’re going to want to make sure you have the necessary accessories.
This is obvious, and your device probably came with a pair, but I encourage you to look into what other options exist. You’ll be amazed at the possibilities, and at the incredible audio quality that comes with a really good pair of headphones. Worth it.
There are several options for cases, so you’ll be able to find something to work with your device and your lifestyle. You do need a case, though. It’s worth the low cost to keep your iPod/MP3 Player safe. These things aren’t built to survive force, so if you’re like me and have a tendency to drop everything, a case will save you a lot of anxiety.
In the same vein, screen protectors are nice. They’ll save the screen from a lot of scratches that can really damage your device both aesthetically and functionally.
Armbands are must-have accessories for active people. If you like to hit the gym or go for runs, your armband will be your best friend. It holds your iPod to your arm while you move, which anyone who’s experienced the alternative can tell you is super convenient. Your other options are to hold it, keep it in a pocket (which is awkward and unstable), or balance it on your exercise equipment. Your life will be so much easier with an armband.
This is my personal favorite way to listen to music in the car. If you prefer to listen to your own playlist rather than the radio, you need one of these in your life. It connects really easily, and you get a clear sound. They’re also perfect if you want to listen to podcasts or audiobooks. You can just download the file to your device and play it during your commute!
6. Car Charger
It’s always a good idea to have a car charger ready to keep your battery restored, especially if you’re going to be using it during your drives to and from work. Just plug it in when you get in the car, and you’ll hardly ever have to worry about running out of charge.
7. Wi-Fi or Bluetooth Speakers
If your phone doubles as your MP3 player, you are going to want to get either (or both!) Wi-Fi or Bluetooth speakers. Sonos wireless speakers connect to Wi-Fi, so you can stream music from anywhere on the web and control it from an app on your phone. The music plays consistently, without interruptions from phone calls or other apps, and the sound quality is gorgeous.
Bluetooth speakers play the music on your phone at a much higher quality than your phone’s internal speakers, and they will work anywhere. Take a Bluetooth speaker to the beach, the park, or anywhere you want to enjoy good music.
